About the role
The Event and Development Lead will enhance community engagement and foster relationships to attract and retain donors, supporters, and partners, thereby enriching Westminster School life.
This role involves building relationships with donors and key stakeholders, as well as prospecting, cultivating, and stewarding supporters.
Additionally, the position is responsible for selected community group management, organising quality, engaging events for the school community in collaboration with various teams, and overseeing engagement projects as directed by the Principal and Head of Community and Philanthropy.
Key Responsibilities covering Philanthropy and Fundraising, and Community Engagement Events and Projects include: Cultivate and steward donors, implementing stewardship plans.Support aspects of fundraising processes including major gifts and annual giving campaigns.Coordinate reports and documentation for fundraising projects and events.Support the bequest program, encourage and confirm bequest to the school.Encourage a culture of philanthropy within the Westminster School community.Organise Community Engagement Events and Projects that align with the strategic plan to achieve fundraising or community engagement goals, liaising with key stakeholders.Act as a liaison between the organisation and community groups, addressing inquiries and providing updates.Support community groups and volunteers to plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns, ensuring high levels of participation and success.We are seeking an authentic and inspirational person who lives and breathes the School's aspiration, vision and values.
Highly collaborative with excellent interpersonal skills, you will have high levels of emotional intelligence, a customer service focus and significant experience in a similar role.
Relevant tertiary qualifications along with strong relationship building skills, demonstrated success in fundraising and events, high level communication, presentation and interpersonal skills are expected.
