Opportunity to contribute to the research and culture at the School of Computer Science. Base Salary Level A6-8, $109,301- $116,679 p.a. + 17% superannuation. About the opportunity
The Faculty of Engineering is welcoming applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Decentralised Science . The school is home to a distinguished research team, featuring experts such as Assoc. Professor Jiangshan Yu, Assoc. Professor Vincent Gramoli, Dr. Qiang Tang, Dr. Sri AravindaKrishnan Thyagarajan, and Dr. Liyi Zhou.
Working closely with Assoc. Professor Jiangshan Yu and his team, the successful candidate will develop algorithms, protocols, and systems. The candidate will be expected to conduct independent, quality research and contribute to the collegial culture of the team. They will be given opportunities to attend and present their work at leading conference venues, as well as to mentor HDR and Honours students.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Collaborate closely with A/Prof. Yu and his HDR students to advance research objectives, developing algorithms, protocols, and systems and their applications. Actively participate in and contribute to our research group's activities, including seminars, reading groups, and collaborative projects. Conduct high-quality independent research that complements and enhances our current projects in decentralised systems. About you

A PhD in Computer Science or a related field (candidates nearing completion of their PhD may also be considered). A proven track record of publishing in top-tier conferences, specifically in areas such as distributed database/systems. Excellent communication and writing skills. Your employment is conditional upon the completion of all role required pre-employment or background checks in terms satisfactory to the University. Similarly, your ongoing employment is conditional upon the satisfactory maintenance of all relevant clearances and background check requirements. If you do not meet these conditions, the University may take any necessary step, including the termination of your employment.
