What You'll do (the role)
Summary
The E&C team is a global Group Function. We operate an ethics and compliance program to maintain stakeholder trust and protect the value of our company. We lead on setting and deploying standards across the Group, providing the tools to enable teams to meet those standards, and on monitoring compliance for our executive and governance bodies.
You will interface with senior management and their teams on a broad range of topics to enable regional leadership to meet their ethics and compliance accountabilities, and to promote ethical and compliant business conduct in your region. You will carry substantial responsibility for implementation of the program, its ongoing development, and its alignment with our ethical standards and relevant legislation.
Duties and responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer you will be responsible for:

Being a 'trusted advisor' to executive and senior leadership across the Asia Pacific Region, enabling them to deliver their accountability for doing business ethically and with integrity, and for applying all elements of the group's E&C program. This will involve both advising on individual cases and presenting regional data-based reports based on our group E&C dashboards.
For E&C, being a contact point for staff, providing advice and guidance on the application of our Codes of Ethical Conduct and the associated Compliance Policies, procedures, and controls.
Providing training on all aspects of the E&C program, and assisting teams to deploy communications, engagement, and eLearning resources.
Ensuring that risk and control assessments remain current as the business grows and evolves.
Conducting monitoring activities and providing insights to project, country and regional leadership, enabling them to fulfil their accountabilities for managing E&C risk and for implementing E&C policies, procedures, and controls proportionately for their area of responsibility.
Being an intake channel for breaches or concerns raised by staff and other stakeholders, complementing the speak-up service and coordinating with other channels such as HR.
Highlighting trends and insights that contribute to continuous improvement of the group's E&C activities, and supporting projects as needed to strengthen the E&C program.
This is initially a senior 'individual contributor' role. Depending on the growth of the region and broader business, there may be opportunity to manage small teams comprised of staff and consultants, to i) deliver projects that strengthen the overall global E&C program and ii) provide data and analysis to leadership and individuals.
