This national civil contracting business is a specialist in the construction of roads, pavements and ancillary civil works. They are an impressive business with strong financial roots and a great reputation and now require an experienced ESTIMATOR to join their leadership team in Western Australia's stunning coastal state capital, Perth.
About the Role:
As the permanent ESTIMATOR you will be based at the Welshpool office while working 8.00am-4.30/5.00pm as required. The compelling reason to apply for this position is the diversity it will offer in terms of your involvement in many aspects including; estimating, bid management, business development, team leadership, strategy development, variation pricing, and major project work. As ESTIMATOR you will focus on preparing "first-principle" pricing for civils projects, primarily roads, pavements and civils for likes of MRWA, Local Councils, Mining Clients or PTA. You will be a focal point for pricing winning civil tenders using Benchmark and Excel software packages. You will leverage a fully integrated management system, and long-established processes and procedures that are tried and true and shaped for success. A tremendous salary is on offer up to CIRCA $150-170K Base + super (*Flexible based on experience), with parking provided at the office.
Skills & Experience and Other Requirements: Approximately 5+ years' as ESTIMATOR for civil contractors in Australia Proven "first principle" estimating competence using Excel and Benchmark estimation software High level competence using Microsoft suite applications Successful track record pricing winning bids for Road and Pavement surfacing works for metro and remote construction sites in Australia, including for MRWA. Strong attention to detail with excellent literacy and numeracy Effective interpersonal communication skills, ability to work autonomously, and high levels of energy and motivation Currently Perth based with existing rights to live and work in Australia Company Culture:
