The business has also proactively invested in people and is proud of the fact that many of its skilled machine operators and sheet metal workers are long-standing employees.These investments, and an unwavering commitment to exceeding customers' expectations, have seen Samin Sheet Metal grow and thrive through both good and challenging economic times, despite the competitive market in which the business operates.About the Role:You will play a key role in the Sales and Design team and work closely with very experienced Sales and Operations Managers, as well as with the Managing Director.Your new role will see you:Review and interpret engineering and architectural drawings.Engage directly with customers to clarify their needs.Work with suppliers to source pricing for labour, materials, components and external processing.Prepare and submit quotations and tenders to meet customer deadlines and expectations.Work with the sales team to ensure effective follow-up of quotes, including contacting customers directly to confirm acceptance.Beyond the day-to-day, you will be actively encouraged to contribute your ideas to new product development, as well as to improvements in processes and technology.About You:While specific experience as an Estimator in precision metal fabrication will be well regarded, you may well be experienced "on the shop floor" in that environment and looking to take the next step in your career by a move into estimating.Likewise, while trade qualifications are desirable, your experience on the shop floor, in Drafting or in Estimating in precision metal fabrication could be equally relevant.You bring to the table:Strong communication skills, including the ability to engage verbally and in writing at a high level with customers.Sound computer literacy, including experience in working with ERP systems.Experience in structured environments where you have been exposed to robust processes.If you have specific questions prior to applying, feel welcome to contact Michael Simonyi at or .
