Our client is a leading Perth construction company. Due to expansion and growth, the Directors would now like to add to their team with the addition of an Estimator on a full-time basis.The position will be based in the head office close to Perth CBD with easy access to parking and public transport. Please note the successful candidate will be required to travel to construction sites in and around the Perth metro area when required.The vacancy:Work with the General Manager in the preparation of Opinions of Probable Costs, Budget Estimates, Tender Estimates, and Tender Submissions that consider suitable consultants, supplies, subcontractors, and preliminaries to ensure Tenders consider safety, quality, program, and profitability.Develop strategic relationships with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers directly.Ensure all tendered works are completed following a site inspection, considering all site-specific risks and conditions in the tendered scope of works.A detailed understanding of the tender documentation on every project – including drawings, specifications, and reports (geotechnical, fire, ESD, etc.).Compilation and filing of job site-specific documentation to ensure it is accessible, accurate, and of the latest version for all parties.Liaising with the General Manager in coordinating and attending site meetings and providing technical expertise if required.Ensure the accurate and timely compilation of comprehensive tender estimates.Liaise with the Client on tender documentation through RFIs to ensure tender scopes and qualifications are fully considered to reduce risk and ensure comprehensiveness and competitiveness of tender submissions.Consider qualitative elements in the submission and ensure these are prepared and submitted to ensure the best chance of success.Maintain and manage cost data across building types and elements.Work in support of the Projects Administrator to ensure timely development of designs and approval submissions to support the negotiated Design and Construct projects.Prepare weekly updates on all projects under tender for the General Manager to allow clarity and direction in resourcing and priorities.To apply you will need:Construction/building estimating skills and experience.Ideally hold a diploma or degree within construction or a similar industry.A track record in winning commercial construction project work.High level of computer literacy.Good written and verbal communication skills.Must have competent skills in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Planswift, Bluebeam, etc.In return:A salary of between $125,000 to $170,000 + Super (based on experience).Some flexible full-time working hours if required.Real promotion prospects within a growing company.Regular industry updates and training.Low staff turnover team.Friendly and professional work environment.Corporate ASX listed clients.At Select Staffing, we value and respect our candidates, so every application is treated confidentially at all times.
