About the Role:Davies Stewart is partnering with a family-owned South Australian manufacturing business to find an Estimating Manager.Located just outside of Adelaide's CBD, this role offers a fantastic chance to join a long-established team with a great work culture. Responsibilities include reviewing and submitting quotes, managing internal and external stakeholders, and overseeing the team's strategic and operational practices.With a clear strategic vision and ongoing growth, now is the perfect time to join this company as they strive for billion-dollar success!Key Responsibilities:Quoting Simple to Complex Items and Tenders.Manage the Estimating Team, setting Priorities for Estimating Analysts, managing day to day issues and team dynamics.Taking ownership of the team management of end-to-end process to optimize service delivery to the wider business while challenging the status quo and driving process improvements.Liaising with internal stakeholders and providing a high-level customer service on Estimating systems and new business quote related questions and processes.Generate information relevant to product design to be utilised by the Estimating team.Collaborate with LaunchPad design team to support the development and design of packaging concepts in line with specific internal and customer-based projects.Inputting new business quote details into Estimating systems to generate Factory Pricing and ensuring all relevant fields are entered accurately.Managing the workflow in Estimating systems and allocating quotes accordingly to ensure business quote lead times are consistently achieved.Developing visibility over consistent areas lacking data quality, working with stakeholders and system users to improve inputs, providing feedback to sales teams and Group managers about the success of improvement initiatives.Assist product range management by raising and tracking deviations to change or cancel existing items, and to raise new item requests to assist range expansion in association with Group Marketing. Proactive assistance with Group CIP RFQs and ad hoc projects for senior managers.System maintenance of Estimating systems with the upload of costings in systems.Performing other administration tasks and project work associated with the Estimating Department and the creation of New Items in LaunchPad, Group Production Services and New Product Development.Work collaboratively with the team to drive continuous improvement initiatives, including integration and synergies between systems and processes.Be responsible for the training and onboarding of new employees with regards to the Estimating systems.Report out of metrics achieved to provide feedback to the marketing / operations teams on product range considerations and optimizations.Involvement in key strategic projects in order to ensure that estimating variables are not overlooked in order to make impactful and proactive decisions.Skills & Experience:Excellent attention to detail.Advanced/ intermediate computing skills, specifically quoting systems, Microsoft Excel, and the Microsoft Suite.Strong customer service and communication skills.Resilience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Assertive, ability to problem-solve and navigate challenging situations.Previous experience delivering excellence in customer service.Previous experience applying a disciplined approach to following business processes.Previous experience in a similar position in a manufacturing environment within estimating, planning, or administration would be highly regarded.Qualifications in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Industrial/Product design or Mechanical Engineering (Desirable).Apply now:To register your interest, please forward your current resume and cover letter via the application link.Your confidential application will be acknowledged by email and shortlisted applicants will be contacted by phone from the Davies Stewart team.
