Estimating Manager Location: Brisbane, Australia Up to $220,000 per annum** Our client is a dynamic and thriving company in the construction industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimating Manager to join our team in Brisbane. As the Estimating Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the success of the business by leading the estimating team and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of project estimates. The Estimating Manager will join the executive leadership in this team and will work alongside some of the best in the industry. The Estimating Manager will be responsible for setting the Cost & Tendering strategy and leading a team of 3, working on ECI's and D&C contractors namely in the Residential, Aged Care, Commercial and Industrial sectors. Key Responsibilities: 1. Leadership: Lead and mentor the estimating team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. 2. Estimating Management: Oversee the end-to-end estimating process, from initial project assessment to the submission of final bids, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness. 3. Bid Strategy: Develop and implement effective bid strategies to maximize project success rates while maintaining profitability. 4. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with various internal teams, including project management, procurement, and finance, to ensure cohesive and accurate estimates. 5. Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to inform and improve estimating strategies. 6. Cost Control: Implement effective cost control measures to optimize project budgets and enhance overall company profitability. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. Proven experience in a senior estimating role within the construction industry. Strong leadership and team management skills. In-depth knowledge of construction estimating processes and tools. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
