About the role
The Team Leader People Support is responsible for leading and managing the People and Culture (P&C) operations team to deliver high-quality P&C services, ensure seamless P&C processes, and drive a positive organisational culture.
This role has a strong emphasis on P&C systems administration, data accuracy, and reporting.
This role is instrumental in ensuring efficient P&C processes and providing front-line support, creating a positive experience for employees.
You will work closely with business leaders and P&C colleagues, to support data reporting, technical training, and continuous process improvement.
Overseeing and managing a team responsible for the day-to-day administration of P&C processes, systems and services that support the organisation's P&C functions.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of P&C People Support specialists, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and aligned with the company's P&C strategies and objectives.
Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and support career development for team members.
Foster a collaborative, positive, and results-driven team culture.
P&C Operations Management:
Oversee the efficient and effective execution of core P&C operational functions, including but not limited to recruitment administration, onboarding, employee data management, employment compliance documentation (working rights, visa management, criminal history and NDIS checks).
Ensure accurate and timely processing of P&C transactions and employee documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline and improve HR workflows and processes.
Compliance & Policy Adherence:
Ensure that the People Support operations adhere to all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures, conducting audits as needed.
Stay up to date with changes in P&C related laws, regulations, and best practices, and proactively communicate necessary adjustments to team members.
Process Improvement & Technology Utilisation:
Identify opportunities to improve and automate P&C operations processes, driving efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
Work with HRIS or other software systems to enhance data reporting, employee management, and workflow automation.
Lead or participate in P&C systems upgrades or implementations to enhance P&C functionality and user experience.
Employee Experience & Engagement:
Ensure that employees receive excellent service and support from the People Support team, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner.
Reporting & Analytics:
Prepare and deliver regular reports on People Support metrics, such as headcount, turnover, payroll accuracy, and compliance audits.
Use P&C data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement in P&C processes.

A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organisational Development, or a related field.
Excellent leadership and team management skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive process improvements.
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficiency in PageUp highly regarded.
