This is a permanent, full time vacancy. The Public Trustee, Estate Management Branch currently have one (1) permanent full time Estate Client Service Officer available for immediate filling.
ABOUT THE ROLE The Public Trustee offers independent, professional trustee and asset management services to the Western Australian community. These include Will and Enduring Power of Attorney drafting, deceased estate administration, and personal trustee and administration services.
The Estate Management Branch is responsible for the administration of estates of deceased persons in accordance with their will or in accordance with the Administration Act 1903 where the person dies intestate.
The Estate Client Service Officer is the first point of contact when a death is reported for a client with a Public Trustee Will. They are responsible for providing initial direction and gathering paperwork and information from the beneficiaries or informants. They provide an informal administration service where the assets are joint. They field initial enquiries regarding estate administration for non-Public Trustee Will clients as well as dealing with the initial enquiries in relation to persons reported to the Public Trustee for funeral arrangements where there are no family or friends to assist.
