About the Role Esri Australia's Solution Engineering team designs innovative geospatial solutions to help clients achieve their business goals. As a Consultant Solution Engineer, you'll leverage your GIS expertise to support software and service sales, partnering closely with the Sales team to provide technical insights throughout the sales cycle. You'll play a key role in shaping purchasing decisions by developing solution demonstrations, creating visual content, and presenting GIS capabilities to clients. Additionally, you'll assist with high-value bids and proposals, presenting a compelling value proposition to our clients.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Use ArcGIS to design and configure engaging visual solutions which showcase the value of the technology for achieving business outcomes. Provide solutions, ideas, and advocacy that bridge the gap between spatial technology and business issues. Drive adoption of software use and new technologies by maintaining knowledge of Esri technology, key industry domains, and technical trends. Support sector-, account-, and opportunity-level sales and marketing activities. Represent Esri Australia solutions at various webinars, conferences, and user events. Contribute to the effective management of customer information within Salesforce. About You We are looking for an experienced Consultant to provide technical expertise supporting technical sales and passionate about collaborating with clients to understand their needs, envision technical solutions using our products and services.
To be successful, you will need:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in GIS or related discipline. Good experience with a broad range of ArcGIS products and configurable web applications. Good understanding of current capabilities and trends in GIS technology; experience in the Resources or Utilities sectors highly desirable. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience working in a consulting environment. Substantial energy and a can-do mindset.
