YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE Enhanced Recovery After Surgery Clinical Nurse Consultant Fixed Term, Part-Time (16 hours per fortnight)

THE ROLE
As the Enhanced Recovery after Surgery (ERAS) Clinical Nurse Consultant you will champion and co-ordinate the ongoing development, dissemination, and appraisal of the ERAS program at Peter Mac. This will involve auditing compliance to the ERAS pathway during all phases of patient care using the ERAS interactive audit system. The candidate has the ability to translate audit results into meaningful data, and develop potential solutions, such as relevant and timely feedback and education. The role is fixed term part time (16 hours per fortnight).
THE TEAM
The ERAS team is made up of one other ERAS Clinical Nurse Consultant. The team works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the ERAS program is implemented, evaluated, and improved. The ERAS Team work closely with surgical staff, anaesthetics, the perioperative nursing team, and surgical ward teams to support an optimal experience for our patients.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The ERAS Clinical Nurse Consultant position provides an opportunity to assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the effective management of the Enhanced Recovery after Surgery program.
YOU
We are seeking an experienced nurse, (AHPRA registration as a registered nurse) with comprehensive knowledge of the Enhanced Recovery after Surgery Program, and a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a multidisciplinary team. You will have experience in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.

Remuneration as per Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement. Clinical Nurse Consultant B (ZJ4) $119,329.360 per annum (full-time equivalent rate - $22,122.02 per annum for part-time hours). To be discussed with Hiring Manager.
