At Outback Pioneers in Longreach, Queensland, we run a horse operation including delivering Cobb & Co Stagecoach Experiences. As well as being responsible for horse facilities and management, horse care, harnessing and preparation, you will drive the stagecoaches!

Reports to: Assisting General Manager
Qualifications and previous experience:
Tertiary qualifications in equine management are desired. You must have proven experience in horse-handling, horse care, and horse-vehicle driving for a number of years. Managing the safety requirements of our passenger-carrying stagecoaches is essential. Horse management qualifications are essential. You will also need to have (or to get) a first-aid certificate. Farrier experience would be an added advantage.

Proven high-level horse management and horse-driven vehicle skills Strong people skills and public-facing presentation skills Comprehensive knowledge of all operational and safety requirements for horse-drawn and horse management Ability to manage and guide a team for all supporting tasks Ability to manage and implement approved business systems Main responsibilities and activities:
General horse care and management of horses Feeding, harnessing, and stagecoach set-up for the Cobb & Co Stagecoach Experience Carefully monitoring horse health Working in character as a Cobb & Co stagecoach driver to help our guests live the stagecoach story Welcoming guests, checking manifests, and simple administrative and record keeping tasks Working in close cooperation with others in the horse division to keep all aspects running smoothly Strictly maintaining all safety standards and complying with our business needs Where:
