Expression of Interest Media Advisor Office location: Parramatta Square (Hybrid working arrangement) Secondment Opportunity for 9 Months Clerk Grade 7/8, $106,025 to $117,363 p.a. plus employers' contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading Your role The Media Advisor coordinates and delivers media strategies and activities to support Homes NSW manage its relationship with media outlets and develop policies, strategies, plans and programs. It's an opportunity for someone who thinks broadly, can build great relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and possesses excellent communication skills. Media experience, whether that be working in the media previously or in media management is preferred. What you'll do As part of the Homes NSW Partnerships and Communications media team you will work with a group of passionate and highly skilled media experts, adept at managing emerging issues in a politically sensitive environment. We work hard, support each other, and pride ourselves on delivering outstanding results. We operate in a 24/7 news environment so some after hours and on-call work is required on a rotating basis, this includes the occasional weekend. We work in the office and from home but stay connected with regular touch points, whether that be video calls or in person collaboration. What we're looking for You'll be required to: Develop, implement and evaluate innovative media strategies and activities to promote Homes NSW's priorities. Develop communications tools and informed, concise and well-structured media materials using a range of channels including media releases, web content, social media content, email, videos, and speeches, to inform diverse stakeholders of programs and policy. Obtain input and monitor and report on media interests and issues and provide recommendations to manage identified risks and ensure communication materials are relevant, appropriate and informative. Liaise with a range of service providers, including internal stakeholders, to deliver high-quality communications that are relevant and meaningful to a range of audiences.
