This role involves coordinating and supervising various contractors in the construction of power station and power generation projects for the Project Delivery function. This role is critical in ensuring the project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Supervising the construction site to ensure that work is carried out according to plans and specifications.Monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and quality standards. Conducting inspections and addressing any issues that arise.Ensuring that all construction activities adhere to safety regulations and standards. Implementing safety programs and procedures to minimize accidents and injuries on site.Conducting comprehensive site inductions for all workers and visitors to familiarize them with site-specific safety protocols, emergency procedures, and project details.Overseeing the daily activities of the workforce, including scheduling shifts, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance. Addressing any workforce issues promptly to maintain productivity and morale.Representing ATCO through right of entry with union officials, ensuring necessary permits and engagement protocols are followed as well as building a relationship to ensure conflicts on site are managed proactively.Managing relationships with multiple stakeholders and client representatives onsite simultaneously.Exposure & ExperienceComprehensive knowledge of safety standards and best practices in the construction industry, particularly those relevant to large-scale industrial projects.10+ years' experience as a construction manager, site manager or project manager on relevant large-scale industrial projects.Have demonstratable experience in design and construction EPC type projects.Relevant qualification in project management and or engineeringDemonstrated success in delivering complex construction projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.Strong technical knowledge in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering, with an emphasis on power station and renewable energy infrastructure.Experience managing industrial relations, including working with unions, managing right of entries, and resolving disputes.At ATCO Australia, we are committed to a nurturing a diverse and inclusive environment that values the contributions and perspectives of everyone on the ATCO Australia team.
