About the role The Head of Program Development, Quality, and Assessment is a senior leadership role within the School of Health Sciences, responsible for ensuring that academic programs meet the highest standards of quality, relevance, and effectiveness. This position involves leading the development, implementation, quality assurance, and assessment of programs, aligning them with university goals and accreditation requirements and enhancing the academic experience and outcomes for staff and students within the School of Health Sciences. You will drive innovation in health sciences education and research, contributing to the advancement of the School within the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Midwifery & Health Sciences, and supporting the university's mission and Catholic values.
About you As the ideal candidate for the Head of Program Development, Quality, and Assessment, you bring experience in academic leadership and a deep commitment to excellence in education. You are a strategic thinker with experience in curriculum development, designing and implementing high-quality academic programs that meet rigorous standards and accreditation requirements.
Your expertise in quality assurance and program assessment will enable you to drive continuous improvement and ensure that our programs not only meet but exceed industry expectations. You possess quality leadership skills and a collaborative approach, working effectively with faculty and stakeholders to enhance the academic experience and outcomes for both students and staff.

Qualifications, skills & experience Possession of a doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation and standing with recognised significant experience in the relevant discipline area. Highly developed collaborative, influencing, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills essential for managing a diverse team and engaging with stakeholders. Ability to articulate a vision and goal and engage the management team to lead the national school towards achieving its goals. Previous experience in and leadership management in higher education. Experience in leading, mentoring, coaching, guiding, supporting and managing employees engaged in learning and teaching, research and across the professional services. Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, assessment, and program evaluation. Demonstrated leadership in academic and professional activities within health sciences along with an established record of contributions to teaching, research excellence and publication, and/or professional practice. Successful track record of higher education leadership and management and demonstrated experience of leadership and supporting staff engaged in learning and teaching. Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, assessment, and program evaluation. Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic direction, manage resources, and work within a diverse team effectively. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
