About the RoleComplete Preliminary Site Investigations: sites commonly investigated include petroleum facilities, commercial/industrial/residential land, asbestos-contaminated land, and landfills.Undertake Detailed Site Investigations including the preparation of health and safety documentation and obtaining environmental samples (e.g., of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and asbestos).Interpretation of analytical results and assessment of environmental data.Production of Site Management and Remedial Action Plans (SMP/RAP) and supervision of activities required by these plans (i.e.
construction monitoring, overseeing remedial works, validation sampling).Technical reporting including the development of conceptual site models.Assisting with environmental project management including the development of proposals, contractor management and invoicing.Participation in short- and medium-term field programs - travel required (including overnight stays).What You'll BringA degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or Environmental Science (ideally with a focus on environmental chemistry and/or geology and/or hydrogeology).Great people skills and an appetite to learn new things.1+ years of contaminated land experience (field experience is a must).Familiarity with New Zealand's Contaminated Land Guidelines and Regulatory Framework.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Creative thinking to find innovative and sound solutions for our clients.A collegial, team-player mindset with a 'can do' attitude.What We OfferAt PDP, we believe a great company is built by great people.
