The Role: Our client is on the lookout for an Environmental Officer to support their asset performance contract in managing environmental risk by teaming up with the project delivery and maintenance teams.
Primary Responsibilities: Collaborate with delivery and maintenance teams to ensure that environmental controls are properly planned and executed on-site, in accordance with applicable legislative requirements.
Identify and communicate environmental risks during the early planning phases of project delivery.
Develop and review environmental assessments and relevant permits.
Evaluate construction environmental management plans (CEMPs) for projects.
Conduct environmental inspections, investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and share lessons learned.
Participate in project risk workshops and toolbox talks.
