Public Sector People are working with a Regional council on the recruitment of an EHO for a three to six month contract.
Located in the West/North West Region of Victoria and located next to a large national park, you will be assisting council while they go through a permanent recruitment process.
Joining a small team , you will undertake food & health premises assessments, tobacco compliance, management of disease outbreaks, investigate reports of food contamination & illness, provide immunisation program support, respond to public health complaints and perform impact assessments following an emergency.
Seeking a qualified EHO with at least one year experience within Local Government. Flexible working arrangements, can offer limited office hours for those who will be commuting. Also open to part-time arrangements.
Competitive hourly rate and can offer accommodation expenses. Seeking an ASAP start!
Requirements Include
Bachelor of Health Science (Public and Environmental Health) or related qualification necessary for appointment as an Environmental Health Officer under the Public Health & Wellbeing Act 2008.

Proven ability to work as an effective team member, input into team processes, actively and positively contribute to team goals, and demonstrate positive behaviours and attitudes within the team environment.
Experience in Victorian food safety risk assessments, PHWA nuisance investigations, tobacco control and other key Environment Health related roles including immunisation.
