What does an Environmental Engineer and Environmental Scientist in Community Development do? Our Community Development team work to deliver projects that activate city and suburban centres, small towns, rural places to create destinations that make places feel like home. As an Environmental Engineer you will be involved in: Researching, designing, and planning engineering work to prevent, control and remediate environmental hazards. Getting in the field and recording data, numerical data, test results, taking photographs Working and collaborating with environmental scientists, planners, hazardous waste technicians, other specialists and experts to assist with addressing environmental problems. As an Environmental Scientist you will be involved in: Assisting with scientific research and investigations which could include water quality studies, soil and groundwater investigations, environmental effects assessments, environmental management and compliance, and resource consent processes) Preparing technical reports and memos Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Team Leads, Ecologists, Planners and Engineers Supporting project work by collecting and processing data, and preparing project documentation.
