THE OPPORTUNITY
As part of the Environmental Strategy team at SMCT, you will be working in a passionate team delivering meaningful communications to internal and external stakeholders. You will lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of environment-based communications and engagement activities in line with budget and can expect to be working across several innovative projects across our sites. Supporting SMCT community in driving a more thorough understanding of culture change in the context of sustainability and environmental awareness. You will play a pivotal role in raising awareness and driving change across the organisation. This is a part-time 8 month fixed term role where you will discover flexible hours, great employee benefits and a safe working environment. It is a career beyond expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES Develop objectives and success measures for environmental communications and engagement.Manage and execute environmental communications and engagement activities.Lead the planning, coordination and budget management of environment-based activities.Engage with internal and external stakeholders for effective project communications.Drive community engagement on key environmental projects.Provide post-activity analysis, reporting and identify areas for improvement.Prepare information for the Executive Leadership Team, Trust, and Community Advisory Committee.ABOUT YOU
Relevant qualifications in the areas of communications, engagement, public relations, government relations, environment or sustainability.
A passion for driving environmental sustainability.
Experience in communications, engagement, government relations activities (internal/external/community).
Demonstrated skills in using communication and engagement tools and using non-stream media to deliver messages.
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and presentation skills.
Proven experience developing and managing a range of projects simultaneously and seeing them through to execution.
Experience in managing projects and budgets.
A strong work ethic with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
