Environmental Advisor - Ground Disturbance Permits (3-6 Month Casual Contract)
Location: Peel Region, WA
Role Overview:
As an Environmental Advisor specializing in Ground Disturbance Permits, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our projects comply with environmental regulations and best practices. You will be responsible for assessing potential environmental impacts, obtaining necessary permits, and advising project teams on mitigation strategies. This is a 3-6 month casual contract position.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct environmental assessments for ground disturbance activities.
Prepare and submit permit applications to relevant authorities.
Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and permit conditions.
Provide expert advice on environmental management and mitigation measures.
Collaborate with project teams to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and execution.
Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to environmental standards.
Utilise Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to analyse and present environmental data.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental management, with a focus on ground disturbance permits.
Strong GIS experience and proficiency in using GIS software.
Strong understanding of environmental regulations and permitting processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
