The Role: As an Environmental Advisor , you will have a core focus on the development, maintenance, and improvement of Snowy Hydro's environmental and regulatory compliance data monitoring, collection, storage, and public reporting processes. This includes working with operations and ICT to ensure the hydro and thermal data collection systems are monitoring and recording compliance-related data accurately and completely.
External and statutory reporting responsibilities will include:
Preparing and submitting greenhouse and carbon-related reports (NGER) Assisting the Cloudseeding annual report Preparing and submitting pollution reports (NPI) Performance reports required for occupation of the (SMP EMP) Assisting other regulatory reports (PCB returns) This permanent, full-time role is located in Cooma, nestled amidst the breathtaking Snowy Mountains. We're looking for someone with: Tertiary qualifications in Environmental or a Natural Resource Management discipline or equivalent. Previous experience in an environmental advisory or natural resource management role. Exceptional customer service and ability to develop effective relationships with all levels of the organisation. Demonstrated data analysis, interpretation and analytical skills along with report writing and preparation skills to meet external compliance obligations. Skills in environmental auditing and incident investigation. Demonstrated ability to multitask and complete assignments within allocated deadlines.
