We deliver a challenging and rewarding environment, and our success is built on the foundation of being a people business that mines coal. Ironbark No1 is seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to join the team.About the role You will be reporting to the Environmental Specialist onsite and will play a multifaceted and key role in providing safe and efficient environmental management and environmental compliance for the operations of Ironbark No1.Key Responsibilities include:Execute operational site targets to facilitate continuous improvement in environmental performance.  Provide strategic advice and support on environmental aspects, including responsibility for day-to-day environmental operations.Implement and maintain the site environmental management system. Develop and review the application of new procedures, processes, methodologies, and technologies where necessary. Identify environmental risks and monitor the effectiveness of agreed controls. Coordinate and undertake site monitoring programs, data collection and analysis, and reporting to ensure compliance with obligations, commitments, and company requirements.Assist with the completion of internal and external reporting requirements.Ensure all necessary records are collated and filed in accordance with internal and external procedures and policy.Manage contractors and consultants in accordance with the operation specific contractor management requirements.Report non-compliances through the established reporting systems.Lead investigations relevant to internal environmental incidents, as well as support investigations for externally reportable incidents.Participate in assurance activities such as audits, reports and reviews that monitor environmental performance. Implement any corrective actions identified through risk management processes including incidents (internal / external), audits etc. Maintain the site environmental budget (operational cost & capital) and complete monthly reporting requirements (forecast, commitment journals).Develop, implement, and communicate operational specific environmental training and awareness programs.Our Operating PhilosophyTo deliver our objective, we will conduct ourselves in accordance with the following:We each do what we say we are going to do.We deal with each other honestly and with respect.We work with our people to ensure that they are safe, so they go home healthy and unharmed from their work activities.We want our people to be rewarded fairly for their effortsWhat's in it for you!These roles are Moranbah based; providing great lifestyle options just 2 hours from Mackay and the Whitsunday coast.Choose to live in Moranbah and receive accommodation assistance or choose DIDO/FIFO (Flights Salary Sacrificed) with accommodation provided in Moranbah or Coppabella while on shift.Great 9-day fortnight roster – 5/2 -4/3Great salaries to attract and retain the right peopleGenerous staff performance bonus Subsidised health insuranceSalary sacrifice available for novated car leasing and FIFO flightsIncome protection insuranceOnsite physiotherapy appointments and vaccines for flu and COVIDPersonal development encouraged with reimbursement for approved study programsHealthy lifestyle support through gym and sporting club membership subsidiesRelocation provided by FitzroyFitzroy Requirements – attitude is everything!
