About the role Hancock's exploration team is seeking an Environment & Compliance Lead to join the team.
Reporting to the Head of Exploration, this role will work collaboratively across the team to ensure environmental compliance strategies are implemented that support activities while enabling future approvals.
Key responsibilities include: Environmental assessments and baseline surveys to support advanced exploration activities.Managing environmental standards that support resource development activities.Providing technical input on resource development opportunities.Planning and managing clearance activities.Managing consultant activities and resulting GIS spatial data.Providing practical support to the field team to ensure the quality and consistency of data collection.Monitoring field activities to ensure compliance with tenement and external agency conditions.Manage compliance database including system auditing and quality of data inputs.About you Our preferred candidate will have:
A degree in environmental studies or a related discipline.Previous experience with environmental approvals.Demonstrated success leading a small field-based team.A collaborative and team-oriented approach with a focus on delivering outcomes.Previous success in planning and scheduling team activities across multiple work sites.Knowledge of mining approvals and baseline assessment requirements, GIS (Arc) mapping, data management, and auditing experience.Knowledge of appropriate environmental acts and codes of practice to support field survey program development. #J-18808-Ljbffr
