Advancing everyday life.Mount Owen Glendell Operations (MGO) Mine located in the Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales, 20 kilometres north of Singleton, contains the Mt Owen, Ravensworth East and Glendell mines. The integration of these operations enables all sites to use a single coal handling and preparation plant (CHPP) and infrastructure at Mt Owen Mine.An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Environment and Community Officer to join our large open-cut coal operation in the Hunter Valley. Working onsite Monday to Friday you will report to the Environment and Community Coordinator. You will assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of MGO's Environmental Management System along with compliance monitoring, water management, audits, rehabilitation, land and property management, cultural heritage, community engagement, and contractor management.The requirements for success in this role include:Relevant experience in a similar roleTertiary qualifications in environmental science or engineeringUnderstanding of the environment and community aspects in the mining industryWorking knowledge of the NSW legislative requirementsExcellent communication and computer skillsWith a high regard for the value of teamwork and the provision of visible leadership you will be committed to exercising MGO's key values of Safety, Responsibility, Simplicity, Integrity, Openness and Entrepreneurialism.Benefits and Perks:When you join MGO, you can expect to enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package as outlined below.
