We are seeking a motivated individual to join our financial planning team as an Entry-Level/Associate Financial Planning Assistant who is about to embark on their journey to become a fully qualified Financial Advisor. This is an entry-level role designed to provide you with comprehensive, hands-on experience in financial planning. You'll work closely with a financial adviser and gain exposure to all aspects of financial services, including but not limited to client meetings, insurance processes, super, SMSFs, and estate planning.
Successful applicants will have either completed or are completing a degree in Financial Planning. Summary of Key Responsibilities: Client Meeting Support: Attend client meetings, take detailed notes, and provide clear summaries.Communicate action items and instructions to the admin team for follow-up.Ensure all client interactions are logged and documented appropriately.Insurance Process Management: Manage the end-to-end insurance process, including obtaining quotes, handling health questionnaires, and submitting insurance applications.Coordinate communication between clients and insurance providers to ensure smooth application processes.Entity Setup and Administration: Assist in the setup of entities like trusts, companies, and SMSFs for borrowing and property purchasing.Complete necessary paperwork, including creating and lodging entity establishment forms and applications for ABNs and TFNs.Liaise with external providers like accountants, solicitors, and financial institutions.Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and send Terms of Engagement documents to clients, ensuring compliance with industry standards.Assist in drafting and preparing financial planning documents, including Statements of Advice (SOAs) and Records of Advice (ROAs).Gather and organize required compliance documentation and maintain client files to regulatory standards.Client Communication and Follow-Up: Regularly communicate with clients regarding their financial plans, ensuring they are updated on the progress of their strategies and any required next steps.Handle client queries and follow up on outstanding actions or documentation.General Administrative Duties: Prepare and submit various forms and documents related to estate planning, superannuation, and financial products.Schedule client meetings, track important deadlines, and coordinate with the wider team to ensure efficient operations.Our office is located in Paddington, with the convenience of on-site parking. We collaborate closely with mortgage brokers, accountants, lawyers, and real estate agents to provide a comprehensive service to our clients. This is ideally a full-time role, with flexibility for someone who is still finishing their studies—allowing for the occasional day off for exams or study. We operate regular office hours, with the possibility of some after-hours contact depending on client circumstances.
