Job description:Statewide Mental Health Services Transition to Practice positions provide inexperienced nurses with a structured orientation period and ongoing professional development in a welcoming and supportive environment. Statewide Mental Health Services have dedicated Transition to Practice Clinical Nurse Educators and Clinical Coaches to help guide you through your journey in transition specific to your learning needs.
The Program: The Enrolled Nurse Transition to Practice Program has a range of positions across Mental Health Services.
Statewide Mental Health Services Transition to Practice positions provide inexperienced nurses with a structured orientation period and ongoing professional development in a welcoming and supportive environment.Reporting to the Registered Nurse, you will contribute to the health outcomes of your allocated patients through excellence in practice, fostering a learning culture, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Who are we looking for? We are seeking motivated Enrolled Nurses with an interest in working in the Mental Health field with less than six months experience who are passionate about delivering best practice patient centred nursing care, as a member of a dynamic multidisciplinary healthcare team.
The Role: The Enrolled Nurse - Transition to Practice is responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of safe, clinically appropriate nursing care in collaboration with patients/clients, their families, and the multidisciplinary health care team to achieve goals and health outcomes, at all times working under the delegation and supervision of a registered nurse.
In the role of Enrolled Nurse - Transition to Practice, you will:
Work within the Nursing and Midwifery Board (NMBA) standards for practice and a Transition to Practice framework to embed clinical and professional competencies, in a supported and development-focused context of clinical practice.Be accountable for clinical knowledge, further education, and working within the scope of practice determined by their experience and skills.Deliver quality and compassionate person-centred care that ensures the wellbeing, safety, values, and clinical care needs of the patient/client are met.How to Apply: Apply Online.
