The Central Sterilisation Department is a highly productive environment, where you will take part in the sterilisation of contaminated reusable medical devices, working within a close team to provide high quality services.

A Certificate III in Sterilising Services is a mandatory requirement; consideration may be given to applicants who can provide proof of actively and progressively studying towards completion of the Certificate III. The Central Sterilisation Department (CSD) is a critical service to the Rockhampton Hospital, reprocessing high volumes of reusable surgical instruments and other patient care related equipment daily.
CSD functions within a team-focused environment to maintain objectives in productivity, which contributes directly to the continuum of patient care.
About the role:The Enrolled Nurse in the Central Sterilising Department provides comprehensive, evidence-based, delegated reprocessing/sterilising practices under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
The Enrolled Nurse CSD reports directly to the Nurse Unit Manager of the Central Sterilising Department.
Adheres to organisational policy and procedures, service quality standards, occupational health and safety, infection control principles and other relevant procedures to ensure high quality, safe services, and a productive workplace.Accountable for the timely completion of mandatory and role-specific training relevant to the workplace setting; this includes Easi-Sterilise and unit level competency packages.About you:Mandatory qualifications/requirements: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is mandatory.
A Certificate III in Sterilising Services is a mandatory requirement for this position.Consideration may be given to applicants who can provide proof of actively and progressively studying towards completion of the Certificate III.What we offer:Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $72,639 p.a.
