Salary: Teacher, $82,317 - $119,246 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2023)
This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025 WA College Of Agriculture - Cunderdin (WACOA-Cunderdin) is seeking a Secondary English Teacher to join their high-quality regional school.
Our College is a nationally recognised education and training institution and a 'school of choice', offering students in Year 11 and 12 an innovative approach to learning.
Our College is made up of four primary areas – Farm, Trade Training Centre, Class and Residential, all of which provide interactive and engaging learning programs for students.
Students are offered the opportunity to achieve the best possible educational outcomes within the context of a commercially operating farm, state-of-the-art trade training workshops, and a 134 bed residential facility.
Our ideal applicant will have high expectations, display a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies, and have the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students in the delivery of programs.
The successful applicant will ideally be flexible and adaptive, able to apply strategies to differentiate lessons where necessary, utilise explicit instruction and other evidence-based instructional models to ensure students have ownership and accountability of their individual learning journey and progress.
The successful applicant will ideally be able to contextualise course materials to reflect the College context and embed skills and knowledge from the Farm and Trades area of the College within your programs.
A thorough knowledge of senior secondary English curriculum is essential and the capacity to teach senior secondary courses in Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) will be highly regarded.
The ability to integrate studies of Agriculture and the capacity to teach in an Agricultural College context will be desirable.
