About the Position

The College is seeking to appoint a full-time (1.0 FTE) permanent English Teacher to join our highly successful and aspirational English Department, commencing Term 1, 2025.
Within the English department, language and literature are seen to be at the heart of a sound liberal education.
Great emphasis is placed on developing skills in, and a love for, English.
Canonical, diverse and contemporary literature are explored across the English program, with opportunities for class-based patterns of study.
Teachers are expected to teach writing in embedded and direct ways and there is a strong and sustained Wide Reading Program through Years 7 to 10.


Our students enjoy the rigour of studying English.
The College offers Senior students the option of either the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) or the NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) and our student enrolment in English Extension 1 has grown significantly in the past two years.
Additionally, from 2024, Year 9 students have the option to study IGCSE World Literature.
