About the Role
A school of Good Samaritan Education, Rosebank College, seeks expressions of interest for the position of English Teacher to join the English Faculty in an ongoing permanent full-time (1.0FTE) position.
Commencing Term 1, 2025, and reporting to the English Coordinator, this teaching position will work collaboratively within the English department and across all year groups, undertaking responsibilities within the team as required by the coordinator. The English department is highly successful and fosters a culture of continuous improvement committed to student-centered practice.
The College offers excellent support to all teachers to enable them to develop on their professional journey through professional development. All staff are required to be involved in the pastoral care of our students, demonstrate a commitment to the ideals and ethos of Catholic Education, and be willing to participate in extracurricular programs.
Applicants for this position must be excellent classroom practitioners, dedicated team players interested in the care and welfare of students, and have English teaching skills to contribute to the College's educational program in teaching and learning. Applicants must also be skilled in using educational technology in the classroom. This position will allow a creative and passionate teacher and their students to flourish.

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
Ability to teach Stage 4 - 6 English, including Advanced (essential)
A commitment to academic excellence and demonstrated knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practices that encourages academic excellence
Commitment to continual improvement and effective use of data to differentiate the curriculum and address the learning needs of all students
Knowledge and understanding of the current curriculum and NESA requirements for English
Interpersonal skills with parents, students, and staff
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team
Possess a valid Working with Children Check
A commitment to the child safeguarding principles
Willingness to support the Catholic ethos and learning culture of the College
Current NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW
Supporting the College Pastoral Program, including being responsible for a Home Room
