About You We are seeking a dynamic and passionate teacher to join our team at the start of 2025 as an English permanent teacher. The ideal candidate will have a background in middle / senior school English, and have the ability to build positive relationships with students quickly and effectively. Experience teaching in an EALD environment would also be advantageous. You should be committed to creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed.
About the Role Key Responsibilities: • Plan and implement dynamic and interactive lessons that align with the Australian Curriculum and the values of Iqra College.
• Have sound knowledge of senior years learning.
A good understanding of SACE.Demonstrated capacity to help develop English curriculum• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued, respected, and motivated to learn.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support the holistic development of each child.
• Be passionate about how learning occurs and utilize a variety of appropriate pedagogies to engage students and enhance their understanding of concepts.
• Be creative in assessing student progress through ongoing formative and summative assessments and provide feedback to support their growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement cross-curricular initiatives and extracurricular activities that enrich the learning experience.
• Be able to set high standards for student learning and their own performance
Qualifications and Skills: • Degree in Education or relevant field.
• Valid teaching certification and registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia.
• Demonstrated experience working with senior school-aged children.
• Strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum and the ability to integrate Islamic values into teaching practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
• Right to live and work in Australia
