The preferred candidate will be enthusiastic, keen to engage and inspire our students, and able to deliver a curriculum that caters to students with different learning styles.  Position Highlights The successful applicant will join the school with a focus on providing quality Catholic education, maximising student outcomes by offering a rich, relevant and holistic curriculum that is student centred, flexible and challenging. This full-time, permanent role is scheduled to commence on Friday, 31 January 2025. The English Coordinator position is an 2-point promotional role, temporary for up to 3 years however, your teaching position will be full-time and permanent. About You As an English Coordinator, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy. To excel in this role, you will be able to: commit to Catholic Education and have a clear understanding of the ethos of Catholic Schools support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students have the secondary qualifications and experience in teaching Stage 4-6 English course(s) have experience in leading a Key Learning Area or Cohort (desirable) be an experienced, enthusiastic, highly effective, innovative and motivated educator and leader with a passion for leading learning and teaching have ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team, build upon its collective efficacy, and develop and lead its strategic agenda have experience with programming and assessment design, reporting, feedback and data analysis have effectively used data and evidence-based approaches to foster school improvement be enthusiastic, keen to engage and inspire our students and staff, and be able to effectively lead our students and staff. possess a sound knowledge of the NSW English curriculum and the requirements of the NSW Education Standards Authority and the ability to lead others in the implementation and use of all relevant NESA, SCS and school policies and procedures have proven ability to differentiate instruction, cater for the diverse needs of learners and personalise learning for students from Year 7 to Year 12 assess for learning, as learning and of learning and integrate effective feedback in student learning be highly collaborative, relational and able to build the collective and individual capacity of the English team show experience with programming and assessment design, reporting and feedback have effective use of data and evidence-based approaches to foster school improvement show exemplary classroom practice, utilising a range of effective contemporary pedagogies have a commitment to growing the College's culture of learning and thinking utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students demonstrate excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being integrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences.
