About your opportunity: Fixed term temporary full-time, 76 hours per fortnight (commencing asap up to 30 June 2027).Two positions available.The Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic will undertake work on domestic, commercial and industrial Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning – Refrigeration (HVAC-R) systems including planned preventive maintenance and minor works projects as required in the construction and maintenance of buildings, plant, and equipment that support the THHS facilitation of safe, effective, and sustainable healthcare services.Generous remuneration package value up to $100,064 p.a.
comprising:Salary range of $71,088 to $87,702 p.a.
(HBEA10-HBEA-6)Annual leave with 17.5% loading12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.Other employment benefits may include:Professional developmentShift and locality allowancesEmployee wellness and assistance programsAccess to corporate discounts.Requirements: The following mandatory qualification and professional registration applies to this position:Queensland trade certificate in Air-conditioning and RefrigerationQueensland Restricted Electrical Work LicenceC Class motor vehicle licenceArctik Refrigerant Handling LicenceWhile not mandatory, the following professional registrations are considered highly desirable to this position:QBCC Mechanical Services – Occupational LicenceThe following knowledge, skills, and experience will be highly regarded:Previous experience in operation and maintenance of Chiller Plant and cooling towers, Commercial Refrigeration, and operation of Building Management Systems.Experience or working knowledge of pressure-controlled clean room and isolation room equipment.The position will be required to participate in the "ON-CALL" roster for the provision of 24/7 Building Engineering and Maintenance Services.Applicants are advised this position works in an identified Aged Care Facility as per the Aged Care Act 1997 and therefore requires employees and volunteers to have a current National Police Certificate.
Queensland Health will facilitate applicants obtaining the above National Police Certificate.
