Your Impact We have an exciting permanent full-time opportunity for an Engineering Storeperson at our Tullamarine facility. Reporting to the Reliability Manager, you will be pivotal in ensuring the availability of all parts required for planned maintenance, breakdowns, and capital projects. Your role will be crucial in managing inventory, controlling the maintenance stores' operations, and supporting our Supply Chain - Distribution objectives, including safety, and inventory accuracy.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to leverage your organizational skills alongside a skilled team within an organization that prioritizes learning and development.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate inventory records to prevent production delays.Run daily materials requirement planning (MRP) and create purchase orders.Optimize store layout for efficient space use and parts retrieval.Manage dispatch and tracking of equipment repairs.Identify and tag components in SAP, creating new stock items and updating Bill of Materials as needed.Conduct cost analysis for repair and maintenance budgets, reporting expenses weekly.Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.About You
You are a meticulous and proactive individual with experience in an inventory management or manufacturing environment. Whether you're a Maintenance Fitter looking for a step up or a Warehouse Manager looking to join one of Asahi's largest sites, we'd love to hear from you if you possess the following:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.Strong organisation skills in inventory management.Resourceful in promptly managing priorities that come from all areas of the site.Strong ability to problem solve and utilise your internal and external network to resolve issuesWillingness to learn and develop into an expert in engineering spare partsProficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications is highly advantageous.5S experience is highly regarded.A Mechanical Fitter qualification would be highly regarded but not a necessity.Why Us?
