This role is central to maintaining and enhancing the property's operational excellence, energy efficiency, and sustainability performance. The Engineering Manager serves as the cornerstone for all technical aspects of the building, from day-to-day operations to long-term capital planning and improvements.Key Elements and Essential TasksOversee and manage all engineering aspects of the St Martins CentreProvide strategic direction for the property's technical operationsEnergy and SustainabilityServe as the primary subject matter expert in energy management and sustainability initiativesConduct regular energy audits and implement energy-saving measuresAssist with developing and maintaining a sustainability roadmap for the propertyContinuously monitor and optimize HVAC systems for peak performanceProactively identify and implement improvements to enhance tenant comfortTechnical Services ManagementOversee and update scopes for critical technical services, including:Building Management Systems (BMS)HVAC systemsFire safety systemsTraffic management systemsEnergy management systemsEnsure all systems are operating efficiently and in compliance with regulationsCapital Works Planning and Financial ManagementDevelop and maintain a comprehensive capital works plan for the propertyIdentify and prioritize necessary upgrades and replacementsPrepare detailed business cases and seek financial approvals from landlordsManage budgets and control costs associated with capital projectsLiaison between Property Management and Technical ExpertsAct as the primary point of contact between the site property management team and external consultants and engineersFacilitate effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholdersCoordinate and oversee the work of external technical professionalsTechnical Advisory RoleProvide expert advice and recommendations on all technical queries related to the propertyStay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practicesAssist in troubleshooting complex technical issuesTeam Leadership and SupportOffer technical guidance and mentorship to the Senior Facilities Manager and other site team membersConduct regular training sessions to enhance the technical knowledge of the site teamFoster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering and facilities teamsCompliance and Risk ManagementEnsure all engineering operations comply with relevant local and national regulationsDevelop and maintain risk management strategies for all technical systemsOversee the implementation of safety protocols related to engineering operationsVendor and Contract ManagementManage relationships with key vendors and service providersNegotiate and oversee contracts for technical services and maintenanceEnsure service level agreements are met and conduct regular performance reviewsReporting and DocumentationPrepare comprehensive reports on engineering operations, energy performance, and sustainability initiativesMaintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all technical systems and proceduresDevelop and update standard operating procedures for engineering and maintenance tasksSound like you?
