About the Opportunity:
We are seeking an ambitious and technically skilled Engineering Manager to lead a team at the forefront of AI and computer vision technology. This role offers the unique opportunity to work on AI-driven security software deployed in high-impact environments like shopping malls, universities, and government institutions. You'll work closely with the CTO, driving the technical direction as we expand smart city initiatives and deploy over 5,000 cameras with our AI-powered anomaly detection systems.
In this dynamic, hands-on role, you'll lead a team of 5-8 developers (including offshore) through rapid development cycles, fostering collaboration and making architectural decisions that balance innovation with functionality.
About You:
We're searching for an Engineering Manager who thrives in a startup environment and is adaptable. With at least 5 years of engineering leadership, you're skilled in guiding teams to meet challenging goals. A passion for AI and computer vision, combined with a technical breadth that empowers you to wear multiple hats, is essential.
You should have:

5+ years of engineering leadership experience, managing teams of 5-20 engineers.
A relevant degree in Software Engineering, AI, or a related field.
A solid understanding of the machine learning lifecycle, with a focus on continuous learning in AI and computer vision.
Strong communication skills, able to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
An interest in NVIDIA CUDA and GPUs (experience with NVIDIA CUDA is highly regarded).
The ability to lead a high-performing team with empathy and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee technical design and architectural decisions, ensuring we build AI applications that meet both functional and commercial needs.
Mentor and develop engineering talent, creating a supportive environment.
Collaborate with project leads to guide product rollouts and align with company objectives.
Actively contribute to system and process improvements, ensuring a scalable development pipeline.
Champion a culture of excellence and adaptability, balancing technical depth with a "roll-with-the-punches" mindset.
