Civil Construction Company seeking a Engineering Manager to become a key part in shaping the future of our business alongside an experienced team.
You will be based on our Brisbane projects and employed on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading the project management teams to deliver projects that span across one or more sectors across the company.
About the Role: Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of businessLead and mentor the current Project Managers developing key relationships and promoting team buildingAnalysis of project information (contract documents/ drawings/ specifications/ statutory approvals/ etc.) to allow preparation of programs, work break down structures, estimates and budgetsDeveloping and implementing strategies for efficient project execution and on-time deliveryRisk management with a focus on safety and commercial (contract management)Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one or more initiatives simultaneouslyPrepare and present project startup, progress and close out reports for the client and executive management teamWorking with the client to resolve technical, commercial and scheduling issuesReviewing and approving subcontract and supplier invoices and monthly claimsAbility to manage project expenditure and cash flowEnsuring project portfolio is managed on budget, completed on time and delivered to a high qualityExperience with project programming, cost and quality control, procurement and supplier engagementEssential Skills and Experience: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar is desirable - alternatively, extensive Project Management experience in the civil industry will be consideredMinimum 10 years experience on civil infrastructure projectsExperience leading, motivating, and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performanceDemonstrated decisiveness in resolving complex problems, decision making and identifying priorities within your team.Experienced in Programming & Cost ControlWhat's on offer: Competitive salary based on the successful candidate's experienceA permanent position with a growing civil construction companyWork VehicleCareer progression opportunitiesSponsorship is available for the right candidatePlease Apply Today!
