Job Description The Engineering Drafter - Mining Equipment will have the following responsibilities:
Pre and After-Sales Tasks Work closely with cross-functional teams and Line Managers to ensure timely response to screen media design, vibrating deck, and trommel layout requirements.Contribute to research and development activities for product enhancement and manufacturing efficiency.Participate in commissioning trailing, and testing of processes and equipment.Expand market knowledge related to assigned product portfolio through engagement with colleagues, suppliers, clients, and branch networks.Champion a culture of personal and team safety, ensuring the well-being of all affected by the company's operations. Design & Product StandardisationDesign products, tooling, molds, manufacturing equipment, and processes within the specified product portfolio, adhering to design standards to meet customer needs.Support global engineering efforts in standardising products, refining production methods, and selecting materials.Apply technical expertise to develop designs and establish design criteria aligned with company standards.Execute design, redesign, review, verification, and approval processes within project time lines.Ensure designs yield reliable products that are manufacturable in a cost-effective manner.Prepare design briefs as needed, instruct third-party resources, and guide detailed design efforts. The Successful Applicant The ideal Engineering Drafter - Mining Equipment meets with the following requirements:
Experience within the engineering screen media (screen and trommel media) in mineral processing or aggregates industries.Desirable knowledge of mining wear solutions involving polyurethane and rubber manufacturing processes.Ability to develop relationships both internally and with external clients with a focus on customer service.Skilled in AutoCAD and/or Solid Works.Focus on Customer Service, with the ability to ensure a smooth communication with both internal and external stakeholders.Familiarity with PLM and ERP systems.Showcased ability in business acumen to formulate practical business plans that include ambitious goals and a well-defined strategy to achieve them.
