ROLE FOCUS: Oversee, optimise, and maintain the performance of renewable energy assets, ensuring efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.A leading renewable energy company with a strong presence across Australia is looking for an Asset Engineer to oversee the operational performance of their renewable energy assets, including wind, solar, and battery storage projects.
The company is committed to driving Australia's energy transition through innovative and sustainable solutions.As an Asset Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, optimising, and maintaining the performance of renewable energy assets.
You will work closely with operations teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that assets are operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
This role is vital in maximising asset performance and longevity.Key Responsibilities:Monitor and analyse the operational performance of renewable energy assets, including wind, solar, and battery storage.Develop and implement optimisation strategies to improve asset efficiency and energy production.Collaborate with O&M teams to ensure timely maintenance and troubleshooting of assets.Conduct performance analysis, asset health assessments, and lifecycle planning.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as Australian energy standards.Manage technical documentation, reports, and asset data to provide clear insights for stakeholders.Participate in contract management, including service agreements with third-party vendors and contractors.Contribute to the planning and execution of maintenance schedules and improvement initiatives.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy) or related field.3-5 years of experience in asset management or operational roles within the renewable energy sector.Experience with wind, solar, or battery storage projects is highly preferred.Proficiency in data analysis tools for monitoring and reporting asset performance.Strong knowledge of Australian energy regulations and grid connection requirements.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.Strong organisational and communication skills for managing stakeholders and technical reporting.Desirable Skills:Familiarity with SCADA systems and performance monitoring software.Experience in contract management and negotiations with service providers.Understanding of asset management frameworks and lifecycle optimisation.Benefits:Competitive salary package with performance-based bonuses.Flexible work arrangements with options for remote work.Opportunity to work on diverse renewable energy projects.Professional development and career advancement within a leading energy company.Contribute to Australia's clean energy future and sustainability goals.This role offers flexibility in work location across Australia, with options to work remotely.
