Balanced Machines designs the next generation of balanced machines, providing materials handling solutions for mining companies across Australia. Our machines are designed, fabricated, assembled, and tested at our state-of-the-art Henderson facility.
We now seek an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join this expanding team of professional Balanced Machines Engineers. You will enjoy a full project scope of work, including design, execution, and final completion at our clients' sites throughout WA. Perth Based with optional office location - CBD or Henderson.

The RoleYour scope of work will include:
System Design and Development;Programming and Configuration;Testing and Validation;Troubleshooting and Maintenance;Continuous Improvement;Training and Documentation;Collaboration and Coordination;Safety and Compliance;About YouTo be successful in this role it is essential that you possess the following skills, knowledge and experience:
A degree in a relevant engineering field such as Industrial Electronics and Automation, Electronic, Electrical, Mechatronics or similar.A minimum of seven years of experience in the conceptualization, Front End Engineering Design (FEED), and detailed design of automation and control systems for mining equipment.Experience with balanced machine projects like stackers, reclaimers, and ship loaders is highly valued, but not mandatory.Proficiency in design, program, test and commission PLC and SCADA systems.Proficiency in Instrumentation, Automation, and industrial networking.Experience with EPLAN P8 is highly valued but not mandatory.Knowledge of functional safety concepts and related documentation.Familiarity with relevant standards, particularly AS/NZS 61508.Exposure in the Australian mining/mineral processing industry.Civmec + YouAt Civmec, we offer an inclusive workplace built on family values, with a 'Never Assume' culture, sustained by our experienced and supportive management team.
