We are seeking applications from experienced engineers with a background in civil or structural engineering. This position will report to the Project Manager and will be responsible for providing technical and project support to the operational team.
The position requires someone with a high level of motivation and self-discipline, ensuring a strong commitment to health, safety and quality in order to deliver on client expectations. You will have the opportunity to assist the leadership team with quality assurance and compliance, ensuring systems of work and output meet KPI's and comply with company and client policies, drive a continual improvement mindset, and deliver on scoping and scheduling requirements.
This position is a FIFO (Fly-In, Fly-Out) opportunity to Karratha, EX-Perth only.
We would like to hear from you if you have the following: Bachelor of Engineering – Civil or Structural Current and active Australian C-Class driver's license Minimum 2-3 years' post graduate experience in similar role, developing project/construction schedules and work packs, completing progress reporting and monitoring milestones Working experience in mining, resources, or civil construction industry Experience in managing subcontractors (essential) Ability to work within a team environment remotely and make decisions autonomously while reporting to the Project Manager Planning the works and scoping monthly lookaheads according to the construction schedule Quality assurance management in accordance with the technical specifications Commercial acumen with Project cost forecasting and control Clear written and technical skills with demonstrated capability in commercials, budgets/construction metrics and change management Experience with CAD packages desirable A high degree of communication, organisational and problem-solving skills A strong focus on safety and compliance Ability to effectively liaise with clients on behalf of the company Current Rio Tinto inductions are advantageous Ability to pass a Rail medical including drug & alcohol screen All applicants must have the right to work in Australia to be considered and meet other pre-employment checks required for site and rail access including medical and national police clearance.
