ACH Group is preparing to utilise the new care minutes, once they are confirmed, to expand the successful Engagement Roles across our Residential Care homes.
Initially, we are calling for ACH Group employees to express their interest in Engagement roles at Milpara and Highercombe.
Engagement roles are a Care Worker that focuses on offering and role modelling meaningful engagement, exercise, and outdoor experiences that are person-centered for our customers, but they are so much more than that.
Engagement roles operate within the units, unlocking inspirational moments, joy, and connection for our customers who have advanced dementia or who are socially isolated.
These roles are deeply enriching.
We are initially targeting internal applications from our existing workforce.
You will need:
To be comfortable, experienced, and find it deeply meaningful to work with customers with advanced dementia.Excitement & passion about all the possibilities for meaningful engagement with customers with advanced dementia.To be able and excited about approximately two weeks of upskilling and preparation before you commence.The ability to communicate effectively within and across teams to influence better outcomes for our customers, for example, with other Care Workers, the Social team, Clinical team, or the Personal Trainer.To be open to coaching, feedback, and learning from others.A demonstrated commitment, reliability, and 'quality of care' work history.Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or willing to work towards.Able to undertake the shift time bands of 10.45am to 17.15pm.Ongoing commitment to consecutive regular days.Engagement role shifts are available for all 7 days of the roster.
