Organisation Overview: The UniSC Student Guild is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting, representing and enriching the experience of students at UniSC.

Role Overview: We are searching for a supportive and professional team member to join our small but mighty team.
Under the direction of the Student Guild Campus Lead (Satellite Campuses), the UniSC Student Guild Student Engagement Officer/s will work as part of the Student Guild staff team to organise and deliver Student Guild events and activities, with a focus on equitable delivery to Satellite Campuses (Moreton Bay, Caboolture, Gympie and Fraser Coast).
This position is based primarily at Moreton Bay campus, but involves travel to other Queensland-based campuses.

What the day-to-day looks like: Organise, coordinate and promote social and cultural events and programs with a view to increasing membership and participation of the services of the Student Guild on Satellite Campuses, including some social media and digital engagement.
Deliver and promote Student Guild Orientation Week, Connect Week and Market Days including liaising with and coordinating external providers.
Liaise with Student Guild and University of the Sunshine Coast contacts to plan, implement and promote Student Guild cultural and social events to the student population, with a focus on satellite campuses.
Act as the primary contact for satellite campuses clubs, students and staff.
Develop relationships with external businesses and groups that will benefit activities held by the Student Guild.
Undertake functional activities related to the Student Engagement Space area e.g.
stocking the food bank, customer service, student referrals.
Documenting and photographing events for both promotional and reporting purposes.
Operate within the guidelines of the Student Guild budget upon advice from the and Campus Lead (Engagement).
Other duties as directed by the Campus Lead (Engagement).
There is some evening and weekend work required in this role, for which overtime rates apply.

Are we a good match?
Applicants need to demonstrate:
1.
A tertiary qualification in marketing, event management or a related field, or equivalent experience;
2.
Demonstrated capacity to utilise a high level of customer service, interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with, and support the student population, including the capacity to support students who may be distressed and anxious;
3.
Experience and understanding of event management including marketing, resource organisation, reviewing, and reporting;
4.
Highly developed written and oral communication skills including the ability to edit and review documents;
5.
Strong organisational and attention to detail skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with limited day-to-day supervision, including the ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines and work schedules;
6.
Demonstrated competency in electronic media, including basic design programs, posting and responding to social media posts, and working within a Microsoft Office environment;
7.
Capacity to successfully function as part of a service team; working within a flexible work environment as directed by the Campus Lead;
8.
The ability to effectively and sensitively relate to people from a broad range of backgrounds and cultures.
