Our vision is to be a global leader in providing trusted solutions that improve life today and tomorrow.About the roleSA's Standards Engagement Team strategically manages the organisation's relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to support the successful delivery of standards development across all sectors of the economy. The Engagement Team manages interactions with the country's largest and most reputable industry associations across the areas of construction, mining, energy, manufacturing, critical and emerging technology and consumer products to ensure successful representation and expertise in standards development.What you'll doProactively lead systematic engagement activities with SA's stakeholders, nominating organisations, government agencies and departments, and contributors on sector-specific standards.Establish, build, maintain, and manage new relationships with stakeholders within a particular sector to maintain and build SA's reputation externally.Provide strategic advice to the SA Executive on emerging issues, trends and opportunities for national development work and for international adoptions.Support standards development activities in close collaboration with project and program managers.Work through any issues identified by committee members using your conflict resolution skills to reach positive outcomes.Lead, manage and mentor an Engagement Officer.Drive team performance to ensure the effective delivery of projects and a high level of customer service to all stakeholders.About youUndergraduate or postgraduate degree in business, arts, politics, law, communications, engineering or other relevant fields.At least three (3) years' experience in a similar stakeholder engagement, policy or advocacy role, including work across government or industry associations.Strong stakeholder engagement experience and the ability to build effective relationships.Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.Experience in managing a broad portfolio of responsibilities.Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities.Experience in developing and mentoring people.Culture & BenefitsStandards Australia is proud to have been awarded the prestigious Employer of Choice Award for two consecutive years, 2023 and 2024.
