Public Relations & Corporate Affairs (Marketing & Communications)
Mara Consulting is seeking engagement and strategic communications professionals to join our team.
The successful candiates will work on with clients across sectors including renewable energy, infrastructure, water, resources, transport, government, place-making, urban design, education, aged-care and development.
Roles are full-time permanent based in our Newcastle, NSW office. Part-time roles will be considered. Travel will be required from time-to-time. A normal week includes working from the office, from the client's office and from home.

Job purpose: We are seeking professionals with 7+ years' experience. You will be responsible for providing stakeholder engagement and communication advisory and consulting services across government and private sector clients. You'll also lead projects and be expected to develop relationships to bring in new work.
About you: (selection criteria to be addressed in application with examples) Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in preparing communication plans, reports, media releases, and other communication materials Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, and the ability to work under pressure Strong teamwork skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members Experience working with local and state governments is desirable Experience working in any of the following sectors: renewable energy, infrastructure, construction, aged-care, health, education, development, and resource sectors is desirable Understanding of public participation principles, consultation practices, and stakeholder management strategies is desirable.

Tertiary qualification in social science, engagement, communications or other relevant discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience Drivers licence Highly desirable – Certificate of Engagement (IAP2).
