Mutual trust and respect are at the heart of everything we do.The RoleAn exciting opportunity has become available for Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join our brand-new Energy & Resources practice supporting partner Natalie Lonergan. We are open to considering candidates based in Sydney or Brisbane.The team works across the oil and gas, LNG, hydrogen, SAF, renewables, electricity and mining industry sectors. Your responsibilities will include legal advisory, contract negotiation and drafting, regulatory compliance, due diligence, and client relationship management.You will have the opportunity to grow with us, with a clear pathway to partnership on offer for the right candidate.Who We Are Looking ForThe ideal candidate will have at least 7 years' PQE in the energy and resources sector. You will be genuinely passionate about the energy industry. You will have experience in downstream energy projects, transactions and regulation, including power purchase agreements, electricity supply agreements, grid connection arrangements, gas supply agreements, gas transportation agreements, and the regulation of the electricity market (particularly in the Eastern States).You will have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal issues to clients in a clear and concise manner.You will have the opportunity to grow with us, with a clear pathway to partnership on offer for the right candidate.What We OfferWe take a collaborative approach to your learning & development, giving you the personal attention and unique opportunities required to help you realise your full potential.
