About the role The End User Computing Engineer will provide reactive high-level technical expertise across a range of desktop technologies along with liaising with InfraBuild's vendor partners for appropriate escalations as required. The role will ensure the delivery of a positive end user experience through the provision of quality and timely Level 2 IT support, following operational procedures, service level agreement timeframes and IT Service Management best practice. *This is a 12-month fixed term maternity cover. The role will include occasional ad-hoc travel as required. Responsibilities include: Provide Level 2 ITS support and be an escalation point for high impact & difficult incidents during business hours. Receive and respond appropriately, and in a timely manner to all incoming requests from end users for core applications included in the standard desktop environment. Maintain existing relationship between InfraBuild and key EUC vendors. Responsible for reporting, administration and deployment of Modern Provisioning systems (SCCM and Intune) end user components, such as software deployment, desktop and security updates (patching). Contribute to and support the development, implementation, and maintenance of a Standard Operating Environment (SOE) for commercial or general-purpose PCs and a base model for Process Control Systems. Our ideal candidate will have: A sound understanding of EUC technology and experience in addressing complex issues. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Skills and qualifications required: Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science or relevant tertiary discipline or equivalent working experience. 3+ years End User Computing / Desktop technologies experience in a similar IT Support services role. Demonstrated experience & knowledge of troubleshooting moderately complex hardware & software products. ITIL Foundation Certification or experience working in an ITIL environment. Certified Microsoft professional (desirable). Excellent communication and experience engaging with vendor partners to meet service level agreements.
