About the position As an Employment Support Officer, you will provide and support people with disability who are working, those who have recently secured employment and those whose job may be in jeopardy due to their disability. You will also provide on the job assistance for the ones undertaking Work Experience Placements and Work Trials. This position is Part Time Permanent based at our Malaga Office.
Responsibilities: Provide individualised, on the job support for customers based on their Job Plan and ensure that their needs for support such as transport and skills training as well as verbal and physical assistance are met. Identify priority customers and implement agreed responsibilities according to the Job Plan to maintain their employment. Update Job Plans and maintain customer's documentation and records to the required standard. Liaise with employers, customer's families, and co-workers to maintain satisfactory job requirements. Actively contribute to ensure consistency and excellence in all services including achievement of employment goals, program's success, and positive working relationship. Participate in professional service development sessions and operational planning. Assist and comply in the compilation of work procedures and instructions and keep them relevant to the quality system. A relevant post-secondary or tertiary qualification. Experience providing direct support and assistance to people, in disability or Government funded employment services. Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to tailor communication styles to audience. High level of priority management and problem-solving skills. Ability to demonstrate understanding of the National Standards for Disability Services, the philosophy of Community Inclusion and the practice of actively supporting people with disabilities to achieve their goals. Current Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance no older than 6 months, Current Driver's Licence, NDIS Workers Orientation Module, NDIS Worker Screening check and COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate.
